U11 Boys White (2009s)

The Corte Madera FC Falcons, led by Coaches Sasha Morozoff and Jonah Steinhart, are putting forth a strong season in 2019. There’s no question that this group has faced a very steep learning curve with new coaches, new competitive players, and being part of a brand new team. This group has not only overcome these challenges, but are starting to gel and excel as a team.  And while they haven’t won many games, the boys have set a high standard for effort, grit, and never giving up. They’re learning to depend on one another and experience the joys that come with playing soccer as a team. Individually, each player has made rapid strides with their technical skills, leading trainers Hans and Ramiro to remark how far they’ve come in such a short season.  The Falcons play another tough team in Napa United this Saturday at Town Park, and look forward to joining fellow club teams in Sacramento for Boo Fest the following weekend.

U11 Boys Red (2009s)

The Corte Madera U11 Boys Red team, led by coach Geoff Vaughn, is embracing its move up to the Gold division this season. Better teams and bigger challenges have put pressure on the boys to focus on the finer points of the game. They are improving before our eyes, even if that means losing a few close games. Trainer Edwin, with the aid of Martine and others, is working the boys hard during the week and they are staying focused… with some healthy laughter mixed in, of course. The team plays in Santa Rosa this Saturday and Sunday followed by Boo Fest the weekend after. They are a good “road team” and we are excited to watch them battle on foreign turf. Soccer in the fall is a beautiful thing!
