U13 Girls (2007s)

The U13 Girls team, also known as “The Scuba Squad,” wrapped up league play last weekend. Coached and trained by Teale Matteson, the girls finished FIRST in league play, ahead of both Tiburon and Marin FC with 42 goals for and only 8 against. Scuba Squad has adapted really well to the 11v11 game. One awesome highlight is that every team member has scored a goal this season! Coach Teale has been stressing the importance of communication and making connections all across the field so that the girls both attack and defend in numbers. As a result, the team’s possession has dramatically improved. It’s all about State Cup now, with the Scuba Squad preparing to make a deep run this year!

U13 Boys (2007s)

Led by coaches Warren Jones and Christian Ferran and trained by Coach Jared, the U13 boys team begins their playoff run in the State Cup tournament this weekend. The boys will play a game on Saturday and a game on Sunday in lovely Dublin (California branch). We sure hope the luck of the Irish is with our boys! The highlight of the season to date was defeating the Marin FC Red and Steel teams in back-to-back games in a single weekend. The team has made great progress this season as they stepped up to the “pro” format – 11 players a side, 120×70 yard field, and a size 5 ball. The question now is do they have the Eye of the Tiger in crunch time?!
